Unemployment Ends With You – Youth Initiative is more than a movement; it is a campaign to empower young people and break the cycle of unemployment

Our Approach

The UEYI Learning-to-Earning Pathway
At UEYI, we believe that training alone is not enough to solve youth unemployment. Across many communities, young people receive skills training but still struggle to translate those skills into real economic opportunities. Our approach focuses on bridging the last mile between learning and earning by connecting young people to skills, markets, mentorship, and real income opportunities. The UEYI Learning-to-Earning Pathway combines four key elements that support young people in building sustainable livelihoods.

  • Practical Skills Development: We equip youth with practical, market-relevant skills that prepare them for entrepreneurship, employment, and emerging opportunities in the modern economy.

  • Market Access & First Income Opportunities: We prepare youth to participate in emerging sectors such as the digital economy, climate-smart enterprises, and green jobs, enabling them to build innovative and sustainable livelihoods.

  • Mentorship, Partnerships, and Growth Support: Through mentorship, partnerships, and community networks, we support young people to strengthen their enterprises, expand opportunities, and grow sustainable income over time.
